I've recently gotten a job at G2000 Mid Valley. Why you ask did I look for a part time job? Well there were many reasons actually. But I think that the main reason for looking for a part time job was for finding some cash and spending my holidays wisely. Well, I have around 4 months break. I mean I would not want to rot at home just playing with the computer. =P That's just sad.
I went last week for the interview. I didn't even realize that I was being interviewed by the store manager. He just like asked for my bank account number and epf account number which I didn't have at that moment. Subsequently, he asked me when can I start working. And so next day, there I was, first day of work at the G2000 shop in Mid Valley.
I didn't know that working as a promoter could be hard during the first few days. (maybe because it was the Ladies section??) I'd always thought it was a relatively easy job compared to other jobs.. Well not comparing to professional jobs obviously. Standing for long hours in the shop and serving angry and demanding customers during the member sale week, not to mention being put under pressure by the managers, returning home late at night having sore feet and having less than 8 hours of sleep after a very tiring day. Oh yea, my 'dinner' during work is around 4 and when I reach home, I just drop dead on my bed which is around 11 or 12 after I finish doing my laundry.
Well compared to the first few days, I have almost adapted to the changes and became well used to it. My feet have trouble getting used to the long hours of standing. Anyway, I've been transferred to the G2000 counter at Isetan, The Gardens as the main branch are have employee overload which is good news actually because the pressure received from the customers and the managers are much less! I only trouble I have to go through now is to prepare/submit the paperwork and documents of daily sales. Oh well..
I just found out I was being underpaid.. LoL! I really want to switch to an office job! If only I could find one! Grrr! Anyway, time to sign off now. Another long day tomorrow..
P.S.: I'm working for 11 hours this Friday! T.T
