The first word coming into my mind right now.... "Disappointment!" Just previous Monday, lab partner, Jon and I did a so called 'test run' in front of our physics professor, Dr. Lan. Feeling really confident at that time, I expected the cart that we had made would travel at least 3 metres. Sadly, my expectations never seem to turn out the way I always want it to be, even for this situation. And so, the cart was launched and it spun chaotically! Thus only travelling a distance of only 2.5 metres on the orange- tiled-corridor! Luckily, the furthest cart only travelled 4.2 metres, enabling us to pass this experiment, any higher and I would be sulking at home!
Barely a week since aftermath, another horrific event has sprouted out of the ashes. Another lab project! That also involves eggs! But this time naked and cooked! The objective is to invent a landing platform so that when the egg is dropped from a certain height, the shell would not crack. It may sound easy, but there are lots of limitations to this project. Marks will be given on how high the egg is dropped from. Another fun but stressing project! Owh.. The raw eggs are still being kept in Jon's car. The yolks and whites are probably fermenting now due to the fluctuations of temperature in the bonet. Any bad performances that I should know of? O.o
On the chemistry side, things are not looking too well for me. First of all, there's a lab report which I have to type out following all the new guidelines. The thing is, I'm not used to this kind of thing as my college days had no requirement of lab reports being written. Everything was just placed in front of you at that time, but now, things have seriously really changed. To make matters much worse, my tutor for my lab isn't too helpful. Let's see.. He's grumpy, unfriendly, proud, fat, egoistic, narcistic, and a really unmercyful guy. Kinda reminds me of someone I used to know..Come on! We're still freshies! It's only the 4th week! Cut us some slack man! Grrr!
I certainly hope things can change for the better in the coming weeks... Cheers!~
